Butterflies of the Neotropics
The Neotropic is the region on the world that holds 43,6% of the known species of butterflies, being this the reason for us to show this amazing amount of life and beauty to educate and promote its conservation. We plan to produce catalogs and photo guides of all the butterfly families of the Neotropics (Basically from Mexico to Argentina). This will take a number of years.
As the catalogs are generated electronically they can be easily updated at no cost, so all corrections, recommendations or additional photos are welcome and this will allow them to be updated and improved.
We provide two types of PDFs: Checklists and Photo Guides, all of them in English and Spanish.

Guides
The photo guides are collections of butterfly photos arranged by butterfly families, we try to provide the most amount of species from different countries in each guide.
The guides can be generated in 3 levels: Families of the Neotropic, Families of a country, Location of a country.

Checklists
The Checklists are catalogs of scientific names, they are the basic information. The catalogs have more species than the guides, because we don't have all the photos of each species.
The checklists can be generated in 3 levels: All the Neotropical butterflies, Neotropical butterfly families and butterflies of a Country. Eventually in locations with a large amount of species we provide a checklist.
